This project is based on cloud computing methodologies and technologies applied to the classroom, mainly:
Software as Service (SaaS), where educational software is not installed in local PCs, but accessible to all every member of the educational community (students, teachers, parents…) from the Net.
Platform as service (PaaS), allowing sufficient scalability, databases, data transfer, etc.
Cloud computing is applied not only to optimize services, but also to provide final user with an access to an extremely usable web platform, where s/he can access and control contents and services “in the cloud”.
It is based on well known Open Source developments, such as Oneye, Openmeetings, Xen, Nuba…as well as custom code. It is extremely flexible to allow external and internal developments as needed.
