Peneira at SIMO 25 Fair

The Galician Center for Digital Educational Innovation (CIEDIX) participated in SIMO EDUCACIÓN, the International Exhibition of Educational Technology and Innovation, held from October 28th to 30th. There, it presented, among other projects, Peneira, the Participatory Science tool created by CESGA.

Peneira is an open and flexible tool designed by educational technology experts from CESGA’s e-learning department. It is designed to support the collection, visualization, and interpretation of educational and scientific data. Participants can collect all types of multimedia field data using their mobile device or tablet, and even collect data from sensors connected to boards such as Arduino or Micro:bit.

Peneira is based on project-based learning (PBL) methodology and is applicable to educational projects in all branches of science, such as: analysis and observation of natural, linguistic, or heritage resources; mapping of local resources or comparisons between different areas; creation of linguistic maps or catalogs of historical/natural heritage, etc.
