CESGA, host of the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of the wrAIte project in Santiago de Compostela

The Galician Supercomputing Center (CESGA) had the honor of hosting the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the European project wrAIte on September 22, 23, and 24, 2025. The wrAIte project is a key initiative that seeks to explore the potential and challenges of AI-assisted creative writing in the context of adult education.

The core objective of wrAIte is to equip adult educators with the knowledge and tools to effectively integrate AI into their teaching methodologies, ensuring that technology enhances and drives human creativity rather than substituting it.

Over two inspiring working days, partners from Austria, Denmark, France, Greece, and Spain met to align strategies and move forward with the following key project aspects:

Progress and Learning Platforms

The meeting was instrumental in advancing the project’s research and the development of its training tools:

  • WP2 – Research and Publication: Progress on this work package was presented, which includes a systematic literature review and the execution of interviews across the different countries. The primary target group for the resulting publication is adult educators.
  • WP3 – Training Content: The structure for the content modules was established, with each partner assigned the responsibility of developing specific parts. For instance, CESGA will be responsible for the introductory Module B on how to use the course.
  • WP4 – Platform Development: Led by CESGA, the discussion focused on creating an innovative learning platform. It was decided that the platform will prioritize quality, opting for few, well-designed tools to ensure the best user experience.

Discovering Innovation and Galician Culture

As the host, CESGA offered the partners an opportunity for an immersive experience:

  • Visit to FinisTerrae: Participants were fortunate to visit FinisTerrae, the Center’s iconic supercomputer, a symbol of innovation and part of the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES).
  • Rías Baixas Experience: The meeting culminated with a cultural visit to the Rías Baixas, organized by CESGA, allowing partners to experience the region’s cultural and natural beauty.

The meeting in Santiago was a success, strengthening the collaboration among partners and demonstrating how technology and creativity—such as supercomputing and writing—can inspire each other.
